Busy Warrington Road closed

GlazebrookLane heading south closed after accident

A road traffic accident in the early hours of this morning has left Glazebrook Lane between its junctions with the A57 Manchester Road and the old section of Manchester Road partly closed southbound. Traffic signals and the carriageway surface were damaged during the incident.

The council's highways team are currently carrying out carriageway resurfacing works and signal maintenance before reopening the carriageway later on this afternoon.

Buses are being diverted away from Glazebrook village whilst the closure is in place
