Cahill and Westwood charged

Widnes and Warrington players up before RFL panel

Three players from the Stobart Super League have been charged with committing offences during their team’s Round Eight fixtures last weekend.

Hep Cahill of Widnes Vikings will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee tomorrow evening after he was charged with committing a Grade B striking with the forearm offence in the 66th minute of his side’s 30-38 defeat against London Broncos.

Wigan Warriors player Epalahame Lauaki has been charged with committing a Grade C dangerous tackle offence in the 71st minute of his side’s 20-22 defeat against Warrington Wolves on Friday.

Warrington’s Ben Westwood has been charged with a Grade B offence for striking with the arm in the 63rd the minute of the same fixture.

Both Lauaki and Westwood have until 11am today to submit an Early Guilty Plea.

All three players were charged after the incidents were viewed by the Match Review Panel, which also issued a formal caution to Rangi Chase of Castleford Tigers for striking in the 39thminute against Hull FC.
