Man charged with murder in Bolton

A man has been charged in connection with the death of a man in Bolton.

Ben Edgar (08/05/1992), of Ashton Street, Little Lever, is charged with murder and is due to appear at Bolton Magistrates’Court on Friday 15 June 2012.

Shortly before 3am on Tuesday 12 June 2012, police were called to an address on Ashton Street, Little Lever, following reports of a domestic incident.

Moments later police received a second call to the address reporting a man had been stabbed.

Officers attended and discovered Mark Stephen Leon Wood, aged 28, with a neck injury.

He was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.

A home office post mortem concluded he died from a stab wound to the neck.
