Man shot in back and bum in Liverpool

Merseyside Police is investigating following an injury shooting last night (Thursday, 21 June).

Officers were called to the scene, the junction of Warbreck Moor and Albany Road, at 9.50pm following reports that shots had been fired.
 
A short time later a man, thought to be in his early 20s, self-presented at hospital with gun shot wounds. He is currently undergoing treatment for injuries to his back and his buttocks and his condition is not thought to be life-threatening at this time.

The investigation is at a very early stage. The scene has been sealed off for forensic examination, house-to-house enquiries are underway and high visibility patrols have been stepped up in the area.
