Man's Jaw is Broken in Warrington Attack

A man's had his jaw broken during a fight in Warrington.

 

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Warrington.

The incident took place on Sunday (22 January) at 4.30am in Winwick Street − opposite the Lord Rodney pub.

The victim − an 18-year-old man − was walking along the road when he was approached by another man.

A verbal altercation ensued between the pair and the offender punched the victim in the face. The victim sustained a broken jaw as a result of the incident.

A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information, which might assist officers with their enquiries, is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 614 of 22 January.
