Hull FC 20 Warrington 20

Warrington Wolves opened their Super League 17 account with a point at Hull FC.

It wasn't the best start in a cold KC Stadium for the Wolves as Kirk Yeaman scored in the first minute for the Airlie Birds.

The jetlag was soon shaken off with a Trent Waterhouse try to even things up and Ben Westwood's conversion putting Wolves ahead after 11 minutes.

Rhys Williams and Simon Grix added tries before half time cancelling out Danny Tickle's 35th minute try to give the Wolves the lead at half time, 10-16.

A rejuvinated Hull FC took to the pitch in the second half with another early try, this time courtesy of Tom Briscoe and another Danny Tickle try and conversion gave the Black and Whites the lead, 20-16, which they held right up until the final minute when Reece Evans powered over the line to even things up. Westwood couldn't get the conversion so a win went begging but, considering the number of players out (no Joel Monaghan, Lee Briers or Brett Hodgson) it was a positive start on the road to Wembley for the Wolves
