Paul Ellery

Paul was born and bred in Worcester. When he left school he studied at Aston University in Birmingham before taking up an apprenticeship in printing. After a several years working for Rupert Murdoch, printing his newspapers glossy weekend magazines he discovered radio and managed to get his foot in the door at Star Radio in Southern Gloucestershire.

After a few weeks on air one of the presenters at a sister station broke his legs in a car crash and so Paul got his big break too! It was covering the drive show in Weston Super Mare for 3 months. During his first show there, the London bombings took place and he was thrown in at the deep end.

"It was the most nervous I’ve ever been but great training.”

After his stint on drive he was asked to present breakfast on another sister Star Radio station when he stayed for 12 month before joining Severn Sound in Gloucestershire. He was there for 12 months before being moved by the owners to his local station to present the drive show at Wyvern in Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

Paul loves dance tracks from the 80’s 90’s and today and he’s got a stack of them to play every Saturday night..
