What is your full name? Matthew Lane

When is your birthday? 30th April

Where did you grow up? Salford

What's your favourite alcoholic drink? Pint of lager (very original I know!)

What magazines do you buy? I don't really buy any - I tend to have a quick read of my girlfriend's when she's finished with them or read those free ones from the supermarket

What was the worst job you ever had? My paper round - I'm sure it ruined the muscles in my back! Plus it used to take me ages to wash all the ink off my fingers!

Name the first record you bought. I have a hazy memory that it was a Shakin' Stevens one, but I clearly remember buying Fleetwood Mac's 'Tango In The Night' album - I still love it now!

Name one or more of your favourite records. Anything by Eric Clapton or Dire Straits, but I have too many favourites! It changes depending on what day of the week it is.

What song would you have played at your funeral? I have never thought about this before.....but the one that springs to mind is Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever?

What's your favourite film? Gran Torino - with Clint Eastwood. Brilliant!

Who in the world, do you love more than anyone else? My family, friends and girlfriend

What's the worst thing about you? I'm a worrier

What's the best thing about you? I’d do anything to help some one

What annoys you more than anything? People who are rude

Describe how you looked in 1990. Chubby, with a 'step' haircut, wearing some dodgy clothes

What's your favourite food? I love pasta and chicken

What food do you dislike? Sprouts

What was the best Christmas present you ever had? When I was a kid, it was probably Lego - I used to love the stuff.

Where is your favourite place in the world? I love Cornwall - many happy memories of family holidays. I also like Austria and Vancouver in Canada.

If you could have anything in the world, what would it be? Health, happiness and a nice amount of cash in the bank

Most embarrassing moment in radio? Probably slipping on a wet leaf on the door step of a radio station I worked at and getting locked out of the building. I was the only one in which meant the station went off air for over an hour! It was either that or being sent out onto the streets dressed as a cockerel for the breakfast show - close call really!
