Every Friday from 6pm Pete & Mark bring you an hour of great music and a look back/ahead to our local rugby & football games!
In a high-scoring contest which saw fourteen tries scored in total at The Stobart Stadium, Halton on Saturday night, unfortunately for the Vikings it was all a case of too little, too late.
And, despite battling back bravely in the closing stages with Anthony Thackeray grabbing a hat-trick for the home side, it was their French visitors' Toulouse who left the pitch with the bragging rights, following their 42-38 victory.
Meanwhile, after three wins in a row it was down to earth with a bump for Tony Smith's men, who fell to a 36-16 defeat at Craven Park on Sunday afternoon.
Despite scoring first, the Wolves failed to capitalize on their early lead and were well-beaten by Justin Morgan's Hull KR outfit, who ran in six tries overall.
Adding to their 'bad day at the Office' woes, Warrington also lost the services of Garreth Carvell early in the contest and the International Prop now joins both Lee Briers and Michael Monaghan on the sidelines.
On this week's Game On, we'll look back to Warrington & Widnes' defeats and ahead to this weekend's fixtures.....
......PLUS we''ll also be following our local football clubs:- Warrington Town, Runcorn Town & Runcorn Linnets.
