What's It All About?
Pancake Day - otherwise known as Shrove Tuesday, is the last day of feasting before the 40-day Lent begins the following day on Ash Wednesday.
The custom is to eat pancakes as it uses ingredients you're likely to have leftover in your cupboard before fasting.
Pancake Day always falls on a Tuesday - 40 days before Easter Sunday.
This year pancake day is on Tuesday, March 5.
