Foster Care Fortnight 2015

Wire FM 107.2 with Halton Borough Council would like to plant the seed of an idea with you about fostering, so together we can help Halton’s children to blossom

Fostering is helping a child by looking after them in your own home, at a time when their own family is not able to. More than that, it’s about making a child feel safe and cared for; it’s taking the time to listen, giving hugs and sharing fun moments. It’s about helping a child to become the very best they can be.

Children need fostering for all sorts of reasons and for different lengths of time. Right now in Halton, we really need more local people to become foster carers for Halton children.

You could be just who we are looking for

Our foster carers come from all different backgrounds, single and married, gay and straight, different religions, ages, ethnicities and more. Some work alongside fostering, others foster full time and some already have children of their own. The one thing they all have in common is the desire to make a difference in a child’s life.

Financial support and training

As one of our foster carers we will give you an attractive financial package and a range of rewards, as well 24/7 support and training.
