Injury Blow For Wolves As Brown Ruled Out For Nine Months

Warrington Wolves can confirm that vice captain Kevin Brown has sustained an Achilles injury at training over the weekend.

Scans have since confirmed a ruptured Achilles with a recovery time of around nine months.

The club say they will fully support Kevin throughout his recovery and rehab.

Wolves kick off their Super League campaign at home to Leeds Rhinos on Saturday.

Warrington may ask the Rugby Football League for salary cap dispensation, as Castleford did when England scrum-half Luke Gale suffered a similar injury earlier this month.
