Appeal following fatal pedestrian collision in Winwick

Cheshire Roads Policing Team is appealing for information following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Winwick.

The collision occurred at approximately 6.45pm on Monday 13 July on Winwick Road, Warrington, close to The Rodney Public House, when a man who crossing the road collided with a Silver Kia Sedona.

The pedestrian, a 93-year-old man from the Appleton area of Warrington, was taken to Aintree Major Trauma Unit, where unfortunately he died on Monday evening as a result of the injuries he sustained. The driver of the Kia, a 46-year-old man from Warrington, was uninjured.

Anyone with information in relation to the collision is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 851 of 13/7/15. Alternatively information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
