Appeal For Information Following Fatal Collision In Warrington

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man died following a collision in Warrington.

Shortly before 1.45pm on Wednesday 20 February a white BMW car collided with a pedestrian outside Warrington Hospital on Lovely Lane.

The pedestrian, an 84-year-old man from Warrington, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Sadly, he has since died at Aintree University Hospital.

His family have been informed and they are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene following the incident.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
