Cheshire Police attend anti-fracking demo in Warrington

Cheshire Police say the scene at an anti fracking protest in Warrington's peaceful and they're working to keep any disruption to a minimum.

A statement reads :

Cheshire Police are aware of a protest currently taking place in the area of Bewsey and Whitecross on Hawleys Lane in Warrington. Officers are currently at the scene, the protest is ongoing and there are no reported incidents at this stage.

The role of the force is to impartially allow for peaceful protesting, while ensuring that others can continue in their legitimate business activities, or commuting. We will ensure access to emergency vehicles is maintained and try to keep disruption to a minimum.
