Detectives release CCTV footage following a burglary in Warrington

Detectives in Warrington have released CCTV footage of two people they would like to speak to in –connection with a burglary.

During the early hours of Sunday, 11 February two men approached a house on Winifred Street in Orford. While one kept watch outside, the man wearing the hat went into the property and stole a wallet containing cash and bank cards.

The occupant was at home when the burglary took place.

Detective Constable Alex Reeves, of Warrington CID, said: “We believe these men were in the area at the time testing front door handles until they found one that was unlocked. I therefore want to remind local residents to lock their doors at all times whether they are at home or not.

“As a precaution we will have local officers carrying out patrols in the area and I would urge anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously to contact us.”

Anyone who recognises these men or has any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 347 of 11 February.
