Fire Crews Tackle Fire At Warrington Iceland Store

Two fire engines attended, one from Stockton Heath and one from Widnes.

At around 1.15am firefighters were called to a report of a fire at the Iceland store in Crosfield Street, Warrington.

On arrival crews found that the fire involving a freezer had been extinguished with a dry powder extinguisher and that the store was smoke logged.

The electricity supply to the freezer was isolated and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a large fan to clear smoke from the store.

The freezer was taken out of the store and cooled down using a hose reel jet by firefighters.

The fire crews were in attendance for around 45 minutes.
