Warrington Council say the overwhelming support shown for local libraries has secured them for the future
Over the last 18 months the service has been under review leading to concerns some could be closed.
But now recommendations will be put forward to the council's executive board that will see the transformation of all the libraries
Councillor Tony Higgins told us it was down to the consultation period :
"We took on board what the residents of Warrington wanted over their libraries. We listened; It's been the most open and transparent consultation period ever conducted and I think the recomednation to retain the library services reflects that cooperation wit the residents and services."
