Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner expects that local policing units will be once again stretched under the newly elected government
David Keane has launched a consultation over an increase in tax to support local policing - which is proposed a maximum of £2 extra a month
He doesn't expect a rise in funding from Boris Johnson's government
"It's really challenging this year because we've no idea what police funding we're going to get from Government for the next financial year, we usually know that in December.
"So what I have to do, is go off what we've had in previous years and expect the government to continue to strangle police forces locally."
