Pensioner Assaulted At Penketh Pharmacy

Detectives investigating an assault outside a pharmacy in Penketh are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

At around 3.15pm on Saturday 1 June two men were inside Lloyds Pharmacy on Honiton Way when a verbal altercation took place.

The altercation then continued outside resulting in a 69-year-old man suffering an injury to his arm.

Detective Inspector John O’Driscoll, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen either two men having an altercation or anyone who assisted the man with the injured arm.

“I also believe there were people inside a dark coloured car, possibly an Audi, around the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened. I would appeal to you to come forward with any information – no matter how small.”
