Police appeal following violent burglary in Runcorn

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary on Hallwood Park Avenue, Runcorn on 23 July 2015.

During the incident the residents at the address were woken at approximately 10.40pm when their pet dogs began barking in the hallway. Three men, who are believed to have accessed the property via an unsecured rear door, entered their bedroom and demanded the residents handed over money.

Following an altercation, one of the victim, a 60 year old man was hit in the face with a wooden bat, which resulted in fractured facial bones.

The males left through the rear door of the property, and the victim discovered that their car keys and house keys had been taken.

The three offenders are described as follows:

Offender 1: A white man approximately 5’ 11” tall of medium build, aged in his early to mid 20s. He had short dark hair with a messy fringe and was clean shaven. He was wearing a plain black fleece/tracksuit and a black and white bandana or scarf, which was covering the lower part of his face.

Offender 2: A white man approximately 5’3” tall of slim build, aged 17 or 18 years old. He has short blonde hair with a messy fringe and is clean shaven. He was wearing a bandana covering the lower part of his face and dark coloured tracksuit jacket.

Offender 3: A white man approximately, 5’4” tall of slim build, aged 17 or 18 years old. He had short blonde hair which was messy and had a fringe. He was wearing a bandana covering the lower part of his face.
