Police Arrest And Charge Runcorn Man In Connection With Abuse of Ambulance Staff

It follows an incident on Union Street that was filmed and posted online over the weekend

Police have confirmed a 50 year old man was taken into custody last night and this morning they have said he has been charged with a public order offence.

It follows a video going viral online that showed a man shouting and behaving aggressively while an ambulance attended an incident.

The row was over the ambulance blocking the road.

The video has been viewed by over a million people and led to an outcry online.

Responding to the incident the North West Ambulance said their staff "do not deserve abuse from anyone for something as trivial as blocking a minor road."
