Police release images after attack on elderly man in Widnes

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attack on an elderly man in Widnes.



The 86 year old man was attacked by a man and a woman between 1.30 and 1.45pm on Thursday 2 July at the bus stop on Deacon Road outside Specsavers in Widnes.

The man is described as being white, in his forties, around 5ft 9 in height with silver/grey short hair. He had an athletic build with broad shoulders and was wearing a grey short sleeved polo shirt and black jeans with a lilac coloured jumper carried over his shoulder.

The woman is described as being white, in her late thirties slimly built with gaunt features. She had long dark brown/black hair which may have been tied back. She was wearing a long black maxi dress with thin straps and red and orange flowers with an elasticated section at the front at the top.
