58-year-old Mark Bradbury was found dead at his home on Station Road on Sunday 4th of August.
Cheshire Police have re-newed their appeal for information following the death of Mr Bradbury.
Two-weeks ago today the 58-year-old was last seen alive, he was then found murdered at his Bungalow three days later.
However, throughout the investigation it has come to light that Mr Bradbury was involved in the supply of drugs in the area, which has shocked his family. Investigators believe this could play a key part in finding out what happened to him.
Detective Inspector Sarah Oliver: "We have to go with that he was last seen alive on Thursday the 1st of August and he was discovered on Sunday the 4th of August.
"At this point in time one of the key things we're trying to do is establish Marks movements and his whereabouts, so that we can be better informed and more precise of when this murder took place."
The family have been left shocked by Mr Bradbury's death and his 19-year-old daughter made this tribute last week: “Mark was a family man, life and soul of every party, generous and loyal. Everyone who knew him is suffering from immense heart ache. A lover of sport, dogs and his daughter, Mark will be greatly missed as he is loved.”
Cheshire Police are now asking anyone with any information to come forward to help with the investigation.
Chief Inspector Simon Meegan: "This is a quiet area and understandably the murder in their own home is going to cause concern in that community and we have some additional officers in the area.
"But because we have a number of open lines of enquiry, it's really important that anyone who's seen or heard anything that's not necessarily striking them as suspicious gets in touch."
Any information on the investigation can be provided by calling Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 476959 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
