Vulnerable Man Punched And Knocked To The Ground In Warrington

Just before lunchtime on Tuesday three men knocked at an address on Hoyle Street and punched a 40-year-old man to the face when he opened the door. The victim was then attacked again causing him to fall to the floor.

The men then ran away in the direction of Hoyle Street. The victim was taken to Warrington General Hospital with an injury to his eye.

One of the men was wearing a dark green bomber jacket with black cargo trousers and a motorcycle helmet. The other two men were wearing a camouflage jacket with black trousers and a motorcycle helmet. 

Detective Constable Jonathan Carter, of Warrington CID, said: “This was a vicious assault on an innocent and vulnerable man in a case which we believe was a targeted attack on the wrong person.

“I would urge anyone who may be able to help with our investigation to come forward and call 101.”
