Residents are being invited to join the council as it observes the one minute silence on Friday 3 July to remember the victims of the Tunisia beach attack.
The national minute silence takes place at 12 noon and the Mayor of Warrington Cllr Geoff Settle will be at the town hall to observe the lowering of the Union Jack flag to half-mast. The flag will fly at half- mast during the weekend.
In addition, Warrington will also be marking the minute’s silence at 10.30am immediately prior to the start of Warrington Walking Day at the town hall and will be led by the Rector of Warrington Revd Paul Wilson.
The Mayor said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those families and friends both in the UK and abroad at this very sad and difficult time.”
A Book of Condolence for members of the public will be available to sign from 12 noon on 3 July at the town hall reception, Sankey Street until 10 July.
